Registration + Attendance
Online registration is required for all classes, workshops, and events. Space is limited and enrollment is first come, first served.
Many of our classes are hands-on and skill-based, so regular attendance is encouraged to get the most out of the experience.
We do not offer prorated pricing for missed classes, partial attendance, or late enrollments.
Payment, Refunds + Transfers
Payment in full is required at the time of registration to reserve your space.
We accept major credit cards and approved payment methods available through our website.
Because class sizes are limited and materials are purchased in advance, all registrations are considered final.
Refund Policy
- Refunds are not issued once a class, workshop, camp, or series has begun.
- Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be made up.
- We do not offer credits for unattended sessions.
Transfers
If you are unable to attend, transfer requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis if requested prior to the class start date.
Transfers are not guaranteed and may be subject to:
- availability
- transfer deadlines
- administrative fees
- instructor approval for specialty workshops or limited series
Some events, guest workshops, and specialty experiences may be non-transferable.
If Tegner Mill Teaching Kitchen cancels a class, participants will receive either:
- a full refund, or
- a credit toward a future class
Drop-Off + Pick-Up Policies
Please arrive on time, but no earlier than 10 minutes before class begins.
Students under 18 must be checked in and out by a parent or guardian unless prior arrangements have been made.
Due to limited space, parents and guardians may be asked to wait outside the classroom during instruction time unless the class is designated as a caregiver participation class.
Prompt pick-up is appreciated at the conclusion of class.
Student Conduct
We strive to create a respectful, welcoming, and encouraging environment for all students, instructors, and guests.
Disruptive, unsafe, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from class without refund.
Students are expected to:
- treat instructors and fellow participants respectfully
- follow kitchen safety instructions
- use equipment appropriately
- participate in a cooperative learning environment
Food Allergies + Dietary Restrictions
Our classes may involve common allergens including, but not limited to:
- wheat
- dairy
- eggs
- nuts
- soy
While we may offer allergy-friendly options when possible, Tegner Mill Teaching Kitchen, its instructors, contractors, and hosting venues cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Participants are responsible for disclosing allergies prior to class and determining whether participation is appropriate for their needs.
Liability Waiver
By registering for and participating in any Tegner Mill Teaching Kitchen class, workshop, event, or gathering, participants (or parents/guardians of minor participants) acknowledge and agree that cooking classes involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- use of kitchen tools and equipment
- exposure to heat and sharp objects
- food allergies or sensitivities
- physical movement within a kitchen environment
Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
Participants further agree to release, waive, indemnify, and hold harmless:

from any and all liability, claims, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising out of participation in classes, workshops, events, or use of facilities.
