Where are classes held?

Tegner Mill Teaching Kitchen classes are currently held at L’Amore in Downtown Turlock.

What kinds of classes do you offer?

We offer hands-on cooking classes and seasonal workshops for kids, teens, adults, and families. Topics vary throughout the year and may include baking, pasta making, preserving, seasonal cooking, and from-scratch kitchen skills.

Do I need cooking experience?

Not at all. Our classes are designed for all skill levels and focus on practical, approachable cooking for real life.

Do you use local ingredients?

Whenever possible, we prioritize seasonal ingredients and products sourced from California’s Central Valley.

KIDS CLASSES

What ages are your kids classes for?

Class age ranges vary by workshop. Check each available class for the age range.

Can parents stay during class?

Unless noted otherwise, children’s classes are drop-off style. Parents are welcome to return a few minutes before the end of class for pickup.

What should my child wear?

Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Long hair should be tied back for safety.

Does my child bring anything?

No — all ingredients, tools, and supplies are provided.

WORKSHOPS & GATHERS

Are your workshops hands-on?

Yes. Our classes are designed to be interactive and hands-on whenever possible.

Will we eat during class?

Most workshops include tasting or enjoying what we make together. Some classes may also include a shared meal or take-home items.

Do you offer private workshops or gatherings?

We hope to offer select private workshops, community dinners, and small group gatherings in the future. Reach out through our contact page for more information.

REGISTRATION & POLICIES

Are ingredients and supplies included?

Yes — all ingredients, tools, and class materials are included unless otherwise noted in the workshop description.

Because ingredients and preparation are purchased in advance, workshop registrations are generally non-refundable.

Cancellations made at least 7 days before class may receive a class credit or refund minus processing fees. Cancellations within 7 days of class are non-refundable.

What happens if a class is canceled?

If a class is canceled due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or class credit.

ALLERGIES & SAFTEY

Do you accommodate allergies?

Our kitchen regularly uses wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and other common allergens. While we do our best to provide ingredient information, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Will photos be taken during workshops?

Occasionally, photos or videos may be taken during classes and gatherings for social media or promotional use. If you prefer not to appear in photos, please let us know when you arrive.
